Board of Directors

We are a group of dedicated volunteers on the west coast of Vancouver Island, united by a shared commitment to support Tofino General Hospital. Through our fundraising efforts, we help provide essential equipment and support important capital projects that strengthen local healthcare. While our work is entirely volunteer-based, the encouragement and appreciation we receive from the community mean a great deal to us.

The Board of Directors are elected each year at the September Annual General Meeting.

Arlene McGinnis has called Tofino home since she was three years old. She remembers watching the original hospital burn in 1953 and, just a year later, seeing the current hospital rise in its place.

That lifelong connection to community care reflects the spirit of our volunteers. From retired hospital staff to local business owners and community members, we share a vision for a new hospital that can serve Tofino’s growing community and the many visitors who rely on local healthcare.
